Abstract
422,893. Making electric resistances. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. Aug. 10, 1934, No. 23171. Convention date, Aug. 12, 1933. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] [See also Group XXXVI] Soldering.-An insulating sleeve 14 is secured in a fluid impervious manner to the terminal 13 and the sheath 12 of an electric resistance heater by coating the sleeve with metal at suitable portions of its surface and brazing or soldering these areas to the terminal and sheath. The sleeve 14 may be provided with a band of metal coating 17 round one end which is brazed or soldered to the sheath 12. The other end of the sleeve is provided with a metal coating which forms a brazed or soldered joint 24 with the terminal 13.
