[Class 35] A vacuum - cleaner motor unit is freely suspended in a region between its ends in an intermediate housing by means of a resilient support and the intermediate housing is resiliently supported in the cleaner casing. In the form shown, the rubber ring 13 grips the flange 12 on the motor fan unit 11 and is held between the two parts 1, 2 of the inner casing which is supported in the insulation covered casing 5 by the rubber ring 14 and the rubber buffer 16.
