Abstract

644,261. Mounting electric motors. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 13, 1948. No. 21423. Convention date, Aug. 14. 1947. [Class 35] In a vacuum cleaner a motor fan unit is resiliently supported by two rubber members 27, 28 placed at opposite ends of said unit. The member 27 is in the form of a ring placed within a casing 1 in engagement with a flange 25 while the second member 28 is supported by a disc 29 which engages and locks against a ring 26 attached to the inner surface of the casing 1. When the disc 29 is locked in place the rubber members 27, 28 are compressed sufficiently to hold the motor fan unit firmly in position.
