Abstract

419,702. Motor casings. GRAVE, O., 67, Hobrechtstrasse, Neuk÷lln, Berlin. March 2, 1934, No. 6691. [Class 35.] An electric vacuum cleaner is arranged with the suction fan 26 and motor supported in the housing 37 by means of two superimposed rubber rings 39, 41 which are held in position by a ring 40 of S-shaped cross-section. The motor is surrounded by an air chamber 33 and air flowing over the motor in the space 31 passes through openings 32 into the air chamber and thence passes into the outer casing. Instead of slits openings covered with permeable material such as canvas may be provided. Inside the chamber 33 deflecting members 34 may be provided. At the front of the motor housing a buffer 42 of elastic material is provided on resilient arms 43.
