409,563. Motor supports. PFEIFFER, P., MAUZ, W., FABER, E., and HAHN, L., (trading as MAUZ & PFEIFFER), Botnang, Stuttgart, Germany. Aug. 31, 1933, No. 24133. Convention date, Sept. 24, 1932. [Class 35.] A vacuum cleaner motor has an annular flange projecting from its casing which carries the fan housing and rests in an annular resilient support which is firmly fixed within the outer casing and forms the sole support for the motor-fan unit. As shown, the ring k on the motor casing carries the fan casing n and is fitted in a ring m of rubber which is clamped between the end cover f and the casing body a. The motor casing has apertures s to permit the clean air to pass through the motor, but in addition, or alternatively, the ring k may have apertures r to permit all or part of the air to flow outside the motor. The fan casing n may have a radially extending flange resting on part of the ring k and also held by the support m.
