439,817. Motor supports. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London, and SALISBURY, A. G., Oak Priors, Blackdown, Leamington Spa. June 15, 1934, No. 17765. [Class 35] An electric motor is supported within a casing, for example in a vacuum cleaner, by a pair of supports 5, 6 resiliently exerting axial pressure, at least one of these supports consisting of a ring of rubber or similar resilient insulating material fluted on its interior and exterior peripheries to engage similar flutings on the motor 4 and in a recess in the casing 1. The casing 1 is preferably of synthetic resin. One of the supports 5, 6 may be constituted by compressible metal springs.
