Convention date, April 15, 1933. [Class 35] The motor or motor unit of a vacuum cleaner is resiliently connected to one or more rigid insulating supports inserted loosely into the end of the cleaner casing and secured tightly solely by a clamping action of an end cover when mounted on the casing. In the form shown, insulators 18 are held in grooves in a metal ring 14 secured to the end of the cleaner casing and are clamped by the end cover 23 and the springs 16 which carry the motor unit are held by pins 17 carried by the supports 18. The segmental supports 18 may be replaced by a complete ring and may carry the motor unit by any type of spring.
