423,733. Vacuum cleaners. ELECTROLUX, Ltd., Luton.-(Assignees of Inventia Patent - Verwertungs Ges. ; 10, Herrenacker, Schaffhausen, Switzerland) Nov. 23, 1934, No. 33730. Convention date, Dec. 13, 1933. [Class 8 (i)] In a vacuum cleaner of the type provided with a blowing aperture behind the motor and wherein the motor fan unit is resiliently supported in the cleaner casing an air tight packing element 22 is provided between the motor housing 16 and the outer casing 10 or the fan casing 23 and substantially radial guide blades 26 are provided between the fan and the motor to lead all the air from the fan through passages 191 between the motor housing and motor stator for the purpose of cooling the motor. The packing element 22 may be wholly or partly of rubber and decrease in cross-section outwardly and a screen 27 may be arranged between the fan and guide blades.
