[Class 83 (iv)] In hard soldering by the use of a composition consisting of a reducible oxide or salt of one or more metals and elemental or combined carbon to reduce the oxide or salt into the metallic state as described in the parent Specification, the composition is made up in liquid form with the aid of aqueous ammonia instead of with water. It is stated to be particularly useful when the metallic compound consists of copper hydrate.
