421,927. Automatic guns. BIRKIGT, M., Rue du Capitaine Guynemer, Bois-Colombes, Seine, France. Jan. 22, 1934, No. 2236. Convention date, Dec. 15, 1933. [Class 92 (ii)] Relates to guns in which the breech-block 1, Fig. 1, is connected with a casing 4, 4, which surrounds the gun barrel 6 and carries an abutment for the return spring 5, by forwardly-extending bars 2, 3 which are attached to the casing by radially interfitting ribs and grooves x. According to the invention, the ribs and grooves are held in engagement by a separate annular member 7, Fig. 3, screwed to the casing and enclosing the ends 16, 17 of the bars. The invention is particularly applicable to an aircraft gun adapted to fire through a hollow propeller shaft.
