569,476. Muzzle-brakes for firearms. AKTIEBOLAGET J. C. LJUNGMAN. April 8, 1943, No. 5665. Convention date, April 8, 1942. [Class 119] A recoil-brake for attachment to the muzzle 1 of a firearm comprises a perforated tube 3, of the same diameter as the barrel, constricted at its front outlet by a bush 6 which extends rearwardly into the expansion chamber 7, so that the bullet enters the bush before it clears the barrel-bore 2. The tube 3 is perforated around the annulus as well as around the free space at 4. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also embodiments without the bush and having the apertures inclined at various angles and arranged around part of the periphery of the tube 3 only, so as to eliminate jump. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
