Abstract
418,525. Valve circuits for wireless reception. CLOUGH, N. H., Bourneville, Walden Road, Hornchurch, Essex, and WIRELESS TELEPHONE CO., Ltd., 42, Old Broad Street, London. May 20, 1933. No. 14656. [Class 40 (v).] A relay is operated in response to interrupted high frequency oscillations by means of a super-regenerative receiver to which the relay is coupled by one or more valves. The Figure shows the relay 17 in the anode circuit of the valve 16 which is coupled to the super-regenerative detector 4, by a transformer 15 the primary of which is preferably tuned to the frequency of interruption of the signals and the valve 16. operates as an anode bend detector at the frequency of interruption. In a modification the transformer coupling is replaced by a resistance or choke capacity coupling. Additional amplifying valves may be used and regenerative coupling in the circuits before or after rectification. The interruption at the transmitter may be effected by the use of alternating current for the anode supply.
