Abstract
404,376. Valve circuits. CROYSDALE, J., and WRIGHT, S. R., 12, Lees Road, Bramhall, Cheshire. July 26, 1932, No. 21017. [Class 40 (v).] A super-regenerative receiver is coupled to a further valve V2 so that reception of C.W. signals causes increase of current in plate circuit of the valve V2 and actuationofrelay ER. The output valve V1 of the super-regenerative receiver has a choke L1 and condenser C1 in its plate circuit, a condenser C2 and resistance R1 coupling the valve V1 to valve V2. When no signal is received, the quenching frequency in the choke L1 imposes a grid-bias voltage sufficient to render valve V2 non conducting, but on reception of C.W. signals or a carrier wave the quenching frequency is stated to diminish, so that valve V2 becomes conducting and relay ER closes.
