Abstract

417,725. Valve circuits. MONTEAVARO, G., 20, Venour Road, Mile End, London. April 11, 1933, No. 10819. [Class 40 (v).] A super-regenative receiver is used in conjunction with a transmitter which sends a carrier interrupted at 100 cycles per second for the purpose of operating a calling-device. The super-regenerative receiver has a frame aerial A, is back-coupled through a transformer T, and has tuned circuits C3, C4, which are coupled together and produce the required quenching. The circuit C5 is tuned to the same frequency as that at which the carrier is interrupted and feeds a valve V2 which controls the relay R. The valve V2 may be biassed to the bottom bend of its characteristic and the variations in the D.C. component of its anode current may control the relay R (Fig. 2, not shown). Alternatively the change in anode current may be intensified by the use of a transformer T1 feeding back through a rectifier R2, Fig. 3.
