Abstract
437,481. Wireless receiving systems. MURPHY RADIO, Ltd., and DAVIES, I., 62, Brook Street, Hanover Square, London. Oct. 5, 1934, No. 28591. [Class 40 (v)] A visual tuning- indicator comprises a pilot lamp 6 shunted by the primary of a transformer 5 and fed with alternating current through a resistance 7 the secondary of the transformer 5 being shunted by a valve 4 the impedance of which is controlled in accordance with the received signal strength. As shown a sharply tuned circuit 2 feeds signal energy to the grid of valve 4 through a grid condenser and leak 3 from the valve 1 which is an I.F. valve of a superheterodyne receiver beyond the valves receiving automatic volume control.
