Abstract

416,173. Centrifugal pumps. MATHER & PLATT, Ltd., and PENTNINGTON, R., Park Works, Manchester. Aug. 5, 1933, No. 22087. [Class 110 (i).] A vapour vent for a centrifugal pump comprises a hollow shaft with inlets b, d and an outlet f. The entrained vapour passes from the outlet f into a space g which is connected by a branch h to the space above the condensate in the condenser. The space g is connected by a branch i and a part j to opposite sides of the impeller.
