Abstract
500,072. Centrifugal pumps. DRYSDALE & CO., Ltd., and DRYSDALE, J. W. W. Dec. 22, 1937, No. 35464. [Class 110 (i)] In a centrifugal pump with opposite suction branches 1, 1a leading to a common suction chamber 2, the branch not in use being blanked off, a removable strainer tube or cartridge 4 is interposed between the branches and is traversed by the incoming liquid. The strainer has a centralizing ring 5 to close the annular space 6, and also a flange 4a gripped between the flange 1b and the blind flange 3. In a modification, the flange 3 has a spigot entering and closing branch 1a and the end of the strainer is pinned to the spigot.
