Abstract
414,340. Insulators. TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L. M. ERICSSON, 33, Kungsgatan, Stockholm. Oct. 26, 1932, No. 30006. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 28, 1932]. [Classes 36 and 38 (i).] A lead-in insulator comprises a conductor 1 having condenser insulation 2 and surrounded by porcelain shells 8, 9 which are secured to the ends of a metal sleeve 3 having a mounting flange 5. The condenser insulation 2 comprises layers of metal foil separated by unsized paper which is impregnated with a very thin oil. The insulator is filled with the thin oil and is provided with an oil expansion chamber 24 which is mounted on the conductor 1 and which communicates with the interior of the insulator through a passage 22 formed in the end of the conductor 1.
