413,681. Funnels for liquids. KINGS PATENT AGENCY, Ltd., 146a, Queen Victoria Street, London.-(Clennell, W. J.; c/o Associated Petroleum Co. (Siam), Ltd., Bangkok, Siam.) Jan. 18, 1933, No. 1639. [Class 125 (ii).] A device for use in filling tanks and like vessels to indicate when the level of the liquid has reached the desired point comprises a small bore pipe 5 in the funnel 2. The lower portion 6 is bent to U-shape and communicates through a hole 7 on the funnel with the interior of the vessel. The upper end is bent to a double U-shape and contains a quantity 10 of indicating fluid. When the liquid reaches the hole 7 the fluid 10 moves. The funnel may be adjusted in height by screwed parts 11 and may contain a removable filter bag 3 and a grid 4. The tube 5 may be formed in the funnel and may be provided at its lowest portion with a tap to draw off any liquid entering the U-shaped portion. The tube may be secured to or in the filling nozzle of a petrol pump.
