Abstract

412,561. Mine-arch supports. DAVIES, E. W., 31, Balaclava Road, Dowlais, Glamorgan. Dec. 23, 1932, No. 36461. [Class 20 (ii).] Mine-arch supports are joined together by fishplates and the ends of the section-bar supports are ribbed at 2, continuously or intermittently, the fishplates 5 being correspondingly recessed, and bolted to the webs of the bars. The connecting bolt has a shoulder 8 for abutting against one side of the web and the fishplates can then be separately fitted. The webs of the support bars may be asymmetrically disposed in relation to the flanges. Specification 16837/13, [Class 104 (ii)], is referred to.
