Abstract
397,496. Constructional ironwork. REYNARD, C., 20, Rue Voltaire, Alfortville; Seine, France. Feb. 23, 1932, No. 5367. [Glass 20 (ii).] A method of joining metal section bars together by means of mortice and end tenons wherein the webs of the joining bars 2, 3 form the tenons to engage a mortice in the web of the main bar 1 consists in chamfering the tenons 3 at 3a or joggling them or a combination of both these, so that the webs of the joining bars are in alignment. Where the joining bars 8, 9 are not at right-angles to the main bar, the tenons are cut at the required angle as shown in Fig. 9.
