[Class 68 (ii)] A Z-section pile is made by trimming the flanges 6 of two Z-section piles 4, 5, 6, and uniting them, e.g. by a weld 7. The middle planes of the parts 5 may be coincident, as shown. alternatively the free ends of the parts 6 may be level with the surfaces of the adjacent webs, or they may project beyond them the inwardly-projecting parts 6 may be utilized for anchoring-devices. Specification 425,005 is referred to.
