Abstract

411,435. Valves. MARSHALL, C., Dale View, Hillside Avenue, Mapperley, Nottinghamshire. Dec. 2, 1932, No. 34093. [Class 135.] A cut off valve 13 in a head of a boiler gauge glass is so carried in an enlarged head on its spindle as to be capable of a small rockingmovement. The valve is secured by a grub screw engaging in a groove on the stem 14. A conical plug valve 24 for isolating the valve 13 from the boiler pressure is rotated by a handle 26 having a spring-pressed pawl 27 coacting with a ratchet 28 on the valve spindle.
