Abstract

215,259. Johnson, O. C. Sept. 19, 1923. Lift valves.-A screw down valve is provided with two faces e<1>. and with two oppositely-disposed seatings formed on a casing part a and an inlet nozzle b, respectively. The valve spindle d projects upwards and abuts against a screw cap c, mounted as shown, and provided with a movement - limiting screw device a<3>, c<1>. In normal working the valve is closed either by screwing down the cap, or by retracting the same to permit the fluid pressure to force the valve up to the opposite seating. The delivery nozzle f is integral with the casing. The above construction enables the parts to be produced in a lathe from bar brass &c. as distinguished from moulding.
