Rotary cylindrical valves. - A combined regulating valve and drain cock for use on heating apparatus for buildings comprises a rotary cylindrical valve b' mounted in a T union and provided internally with a seat g for a screw operated drain valve h. The valve h which has a rubber facing is guided by steam h<1> engaging the valve seat and has a spindle h<2> engaging a socket in the screwed actuating plug i. The chamber e may be fitted with a discharge pipe k adapted to be used as a handle for actuating the main valve or the plug and valve may be entirely removed when it is desired to drain the svstem. The main valve is screwed into the casing and is secured in its adjusted position by a lock nut d.
