Abstract

427,132. Tobacco pipes. WETJEN, J. F., 47, Fitzjames Avenue, Addiscombe, Croydon. Jan. 22, 1934, No. 2233. [Class 130] A tobacco pipe 1 is provided with a wooden &c. tobacco - supporting block 2 which is of cubical or prismoidal shape, so as to make contact with the bottom of the pipe bowl at a number of spaced points only, and is preferably secured in place by a screw 3 which passes through the bottom of the bowl and engages a threaded hole therein. The head of the screw may be enlarged to constitute a relatively flat supporting surface for the pipe. In a modification the block is provided with a downwardly depending threaded spigot 4 which either passes through a hole in the bowl and is engaged by a nut 5 or else screws into said hole. According to the Provisional Specification the block may be of cylindrical or cruciform shape.
