Abstract

567,806. Float valves. POUNTNEY. & CO., Ltd., and ELKIN, J. S. June 18, 1943, No. 9823. [Class 135] A ball-valve, such as is employed in flushing cisterns, has the ball adjustably connected to the float arm by a bolt 4 passing through a lug 2 on the float and secured by nuts 6, 61 pressing leather washers 7, 71 against opposed flat surfaces on the lug. One end of the bolt is bent at right angles and formed with a screwed socket to receive the end of the float-arm. The lug may be either integral with, or separately formed and secured to, the float which may be of earthenware, glass, thermoplastic material or metal. When made of earthenware, the float may be apen at the bottom.
