Abstract

1299368 Valves I H CUNNINGHAM 12 Jan 1970 [18 Feb 1969] 8608/69 Heading F2V The ball 1 of a float valve, not shown, has formed integrally therewith an internally screw-threaded boss 2 into which is screwed the end of a float arm 3, and an integral, continuous and outwardly projecting flange 5, the disposition and orientation of the flange 5 in respect to the ball 1 and boss 2 is such that in the stable state, i.e. with the cistern full, the flange is disposed below, but parallel to the water surface indicated by the chain dotted line 6. In an alternative construction, the continuous flange may be replaced by a plurality of integral vanes.
