Abstract

1275350 Valves M ORORI 29 Sept 1970 46176/70 Heading F2V An air relief valve comprises floats la, 19, the inner float 19 serving periodically to release air in a water line through a valve seat 18 and vents 24, and the outer float la serving to allow escape of air through a valve seat 11 when the line is initially filled with water and allow air to enter the line when water is being drained therefrom. The float 19 may alternatively be a known ball valve. The inner and outer floats may operate in separate housings (Figs. 1 and 3, not shown)
