Abstract

1,161,255. Valves. W. J. STOKVIS' KONINKLIJKE FABRIEK VAN METAALWERKEN N.V. 30 Jan., 1967 [23 Feb., 1966], No. 4492/67. Heading F2V. A cistern supply valve 2 is operated by a main float 5 on arm 10. The valve is held open until the cistern fills, whereupon an auxiliary float 11 on arm 8 disengages a recess 12 in the arm 8 from a pin 9 on the arm 10 to allow the valve to close quickly. The auxiliary float is open-bottomed. The floats and arms may be made integrally in a plastics material. Both arms may be of plastics material and also the auxiliary float which may be integral with its arm.
