Abstract
A sintered hard alloy for making tools contains titanium carbide as the principal constituent and 1-30 per cent of a metal or metals of lower melting point than titanium, such as iron, nickel, or cobalt, with or without one or more hard nitrides, borides, silicides, or hard carbides other than titanium carbide.
