403,041. Light - sensitive cells. ROTHER, F., 6, Bozenerstrasse, Schoneberg, Berlin. July 10, 1933, No. 19540. Convention date, July 8, 1932. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (iii).] Relates to copper-oxide light-sensitive cells of the " suppression-layer " type made by heating copper and scraping off the outer layer of cupric oxide. According to the invention the copper is, by sputtering, electrolysis, spraying or the like, finely coated with a metal such as gold, before being heated. An alloy may be used instead of copper, and coatings of more than one metal may be applied.
