Abstract
484,782. Fusible cut - outs. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Oct. 20, 1937, No. 28600. Convention date, Oct. 20, 1936. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] A fuse consists of a copper wire protected from oxidation by a coating of cadmium or cadmium alloy that will form an alloy with the copper at about the fusing temperature. The cadmium &c. may be applied over the whole wire, or different parts of the copper may be coated with silver and cadmium or cadmium alloy. Specification 300,160, [Class 38 (i)], is referred to.
