Abstract
399,115. Incandescent vapour lamps. EHRICH & GRAETZ AKT.-GES., 90, Elsenstrasse, Berlin. April 10, 1933, Nos. 10665 and 10666. Convention dates, April 23, 1932, and May 13, 1932. [Classes 75 (i) and 75 (iii).] The thermal fuel-delivery pump b is heated by auxiliary flames g supplied by a branch tube f from the U-shaped mixing-tube e, the tube f being connected to a climbing flame tube h for re-igniting the flames g from the main burner after a temporary extinction as during the cleaning of the nipple d. The tube h has a row of holes i or a longitudinal slot and is closed at the lower end m. In a modification, the tube f, Fig. 4, is connected directly, or through a cap, to a tube h, leading adjacent the main burner and subjected at the free end to the chimney draught. After a temporary extinction, the flames at g are re-ignited by a flashback through the tube h from the main burner. Should the latter fail to re-ignite due to cooling of the burner head n, the flames g may be ignited through the air inlet k<1> and a flame passing through the tube h re-ignites the main burner.
