NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP MACHINERIEEN-EN APPARATEN FABRIEKEN MEAF, (formerly NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP MACHINERIEEN-EN APPARATEN FABRIEKEN), 30, Croeselaan, Utrecht, Holland. March 28, 1934, No. 9743. Convention date, Dec. 19, 1933. [Class 75 (i)] A burner for a railway signal lantern, provided with a thermo-contact or the like for supervising purposes, is supplied with gas at high pressure and is provided with a constriction 6, preferably in a sleeve or bush 5, and outlet openings 9, the resistance offered to the flow of gaseous mixture by the constriction 6 being equal or substantially equal to the sum of the resistances offered by the openings 9 and the mantle so that, upon breakage of the mantle, gaseous mixture flows from the mixing-tube 11 faster than it can flow through the constriction, and the flame is extinguished. Dimensions of the parts of a burner for use with propane are given.
