Abstract

399,041. Discharge apparatus. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. Nov. 30, 1932, No. 33906. Convention date, Dec. 9, 1931. [Class 39 (i).] An anode, particularly for a gasfilled rectifier or a triode, consists of a body having at least one cavity which is closed by a plug. A carbon or graphite cylinder 5 may have its end closed by a carbon or graphite plug 61 which may be screwed or pressed in position. The anode body may have several apertures drilled into it, each of them closed by a graphite plug. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, an anode in a triode having an indirectly heated cathode consists of a hollow metal ring of rectangular cross section surrounding the other electrodes. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
