Abstract
397,675. Mixing gases in flow. CHOUBRY, F. P., 23, Burgmauer, Cologne, Germany. Sept. 1, 1932, No. 24408. [Class 86.] Means for mixing gases in flow in proportionate quantities, m o r e particularly gas and air, comprises coupled meters of the dry meter kind to which the gases are supplied at approximately the same pressure and which are driven without external motive force. In one form, the meters comprise chambers b, b<1>, Fig. 3, fitted with flexible diaphragms d, d<1> connected by levers g, g<1> to spindles f, which operate slide valves j, j<1>, Fig. 1, and are interconnected by links k, k<1> and cranks l. The gases are supplied by pipes n, n<1> and the mixture escapes by a pipe o. In another form, two compartments are provided for each gas, and the gas is supplied above the slide valves, the measured quantities being exhausted into a chamber furnished with baffles. Reduction gearing may be provided in the connections between the valve gears.
