249,590. Selas Gas & Engineering Co., Ltd., and Sears, S. A. Jan. 3, 1925. Mixing fluids in flow.-A valve apparatus for controlling the proportions of gas and air in a mixture has a valve in the air conduit actuated by air pressure under the control of an auxiliary valve actuated by a double diaphragm subject to the pressures existing at the mouth and throat of Venturi tubes arranged in the gas and air conduits or gas and mixture conduits. Air pressure is admitted through a valve-controlled aperture 14 to the space below a diaphragm 13 connected to the main double beat valve f and is exhausted through an auxiliary valve 7. The valve 7 is coupled to diaphragms g, h, 11 and 13, separated by a partition m. A Venturi tube a in the gas conduit has connections leading to the chambers in either side of the diaphragm h, while the chambers on other side of the diaphragm g are connected to a Venturi tube b in the air conduit.
