397,455. Electric battery lamps. KALABEK, V., 21, Matulkovß, Brno- Krßlovo Pole, Czecho-Slovakia. Nov. 18, 1931, No. 32036. Convention date, Nov. 18, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 39 (ii).] A vanity case of round, rectangular, or other form is provided with an electric lamp which can illuminate the face when the lid 23 is raised but which shines through an aperture 17 in the lid when it is closed. A mirror 24 held in the lid by a ring or spring has a portion of its silvering removed to allow the light from the lamp to pass through the aperture 17. The lamp may be provided with a reflector and lens and may be mounted on the lid or in front of a recess 6 for powder. The recess 6 and lampholder 5 may be formed as shown in the top of the body part of the case or in a member which is slid into the body part or hinged thereto on the lid hinge or on a separate hinge, a projection by which this member can be lifted being provided. An electric battery is positioned in the body of the case and access thereto is obtained through a push-in or hinged cover 21. One pole of the battery is connected to the lamp and the other to the lampholder through a pushbutton switch on the body part of the case or on the top thereof.
