Abstract

475,616. Electric - battery lamps. BARTH, L., and KOPP, A., (trading as KOPP, A. D., [Firm of]). Feb. 9, 1937, No. 3864. Convention date, Feb. 22, 1936. [Class 39 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] An electric lamp 8 and battery 7 are disposed within a tubular part 4 of the frame of a handbag &c., the lamp being arranged to shine through ar opening 9 to illuminate the interior of the opened bag. The part 4 encloses slidable tubular sleeves 10, 11, to which are attached end caps 23, 24. Sleeve 10 terminates in a collar 12 which receives one contact-member of the lamp, the other member being in contact with the terminal 13 of the battery. The other battery terminal 15 is surrounded by an insulating washer 16, maintained spaced from the contact piece 19 of the cap 23 by a spring 20. The lamp is lighted by pressing in the cap 23, and as this carries a sliding closure catch engaging a slot in frame part 3, the lamp thus lights on the opening of the bag. A bayonet catch enables the cap 23 to be secured in the pressedin position.
