479,999. Electric-battery lamps. ELEKTROTECHNISCHE FABRIK SCHMIDT & CO. GES. July 20, 1937, No. 20093. Convention date, July 21, 1936. [Class 39 (ii)] In an electric-battery lamp of cylindrical form provided with a detachable cap 2 at one end the bulb 4 is carred in a removable member 12 which is adapted to be inserted into the cap and is provided with resilient wings 6 which enable it to be held frictionally within the cap, a bayonetjoint connection being provided to hold the cap in position on the lamp casing 1. In the example the cap 2 is formed with a bayonet slot 8 to engage a nipple 7 in the casing. To remove the bulb, the cap is detached and the bulb and its carrier are separated therefrom by applying pressure upon the dome of the bulb, which normally projects slightly from the open upper end of the cap. The lower end of the lamp casing is provided with a bow or loop 10 which forms a suspension means and switching member, as described in Specification 479,417.
