Abstract

395,176. Figured double-ply carpets. LOVE, J. F., Espergaerde, and AKTIESELSKABET DANSK PLYDS-OG MOBELSTOF-FABRIK, Kastrup, Denmark. Aug. 11, 1932, No. 22545. [Class 142 (iv).] A ribbed figured reversible carpet has two plies A, B, each with ground warp threads 11, 12 and weft threads 13, 14, the two plies being connected by binding warp threads 17, whilst figure warps 15, 16 act both as pattern-producing and binding threads, each weft 13 in the upper ply being directly above the corresponding weft 14 in the lower ply. The fabric is woven in a double shuttle jacquard or dobby loom, one shuttle working in the top ply and the other in the bottom ply.
