392,489. Centrifugal pumps. SIGMUND, J., Lutin, Czecho- Slovakia. Jan. 11, 1933, No. 964. Convention date Jan. 18, 1932. [Class 110 (i).] A direct-driven submersible pump has the air space for the motor 5 maintained by an ejector 13 driven by the fluid pumped which entrain with it air from a pipe 11. The mixture of air and water passes through the u tube 16 to the bottom of the diving bell 4 where the air escapes into the air space 15 while the water flows out through the passage 8.
