Abstract
392,189. Moulding confectionery. BERTEN & CO., GES., Viersen, Rhineland, Germany. Aug. 10, 1931, No. 22587. Convention date, Aug. 9, 1930. [Class 87 (ii).] In machines for forming a mass of confectionery material into a rope, of the kind in which a series of conical rollers h are rotated while the worked mass descends and is delivered by rollers w, x, v, the drive for the rollers w, x, v is adapted to be disengaged without interfering with the rotation of the rollers h. The rollers h are rotated on their own axes by the rotation of the ring f in which they are mounted, the rollers having bevel wheels i rolling on a fixed rack k. A clutch m is fitted between the main drive and the worm p actuating the delivery rollers. Guides y, z are provided to prevent escape of sugar.
