356,214. Moulding confectionery by rolling-machines. BERTEN & CO., GES., Viersen, Rhineland, Germany. June 4, 1930, No. 17281. Convention date, Jan. 29. [Class 87 (ii).] In batch-rolling machines for forming ropes of confectionery of the type in which the material is fed from a vertical conical container by gravity, a set of sizing and delivery rollers is arranged below the outlet from the container, and fixed guiding and retaining walls are arranged between the container and the rollers. In the form shown, material from the container f is stirred by the revolving arm formed by a conical rotating roller e, and delivered to the rotating ring of individuallyrotating conical rollers g. A retaining tube c delivers the initial rope from the rollers g to the final sizing and delivery rollers h, i, which project through slots in the wall of the tube. The intermediate rollers g may be omitted, or may be used alone in conjunction with the rollers h, i. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) includes Figures showing the detailed arrangement and mounting of the ring of conical rollers. These Figures do not appear in the Specification as accepted.
