336,837. Naamlooze Vennootschap Grasso's Machinefabrieken, and Grasso, H. A. M. Nov. 13, 1929. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Nov. 16, 1929J. Butter and butter substitutes.-A machine for kneading butter, margarine, and other foodstuffs comprises a circular table 1, a plurality of kneading rollers 2 - - 4 disposed across the face of the table and offset in relation to the centre thereof, and means to drive the table and the rollers, the surface speed of some or all of the rollers being different from that of the table. The bearings 5, 6 of the rollers are situated beyond the peripheries of the trable which is of annular form. The table and roller 4 are driven through gearing 7, 10, the rollers 2, 3 being driven respectively through gearing 8, 9 and bevel wheels meshing with bevel teeth under the rim of the table, the mechanism being such that the rollers are driven at a different surface speed from that of the table, and the surface speed of the rollers also progressively increasing from roller 2 to roller 4. The table 1 is provided with an upstanding rim, the parts 14, 15 thereof being movable to facilitate removal of the foodstuff.
