Abstract

391,502. Endless-track vehicles . FITZGERALD, J. G., 11, Rothsay Gardens, Bedford. Oct. 29, 1931, No. 21213/32. Divided on 391,487. [Class 79 (i).] Comprises an endless-track vehicle carried by rollers 4 running on tracks 1, in which the load is transmitted to the roller axles 5 through leaf springs 8, each spring bearing on two axles and each axle being carried by an arm 6 pivoted to the vehicle frame at 7 and to the axle. In the construction shown each axle 5 carries a pair of rollers 4, and each spring 8 is pivoted at 20 to the frame and its ends rest on flats 22 on the arms 6. Modifications are described in which (1) each roller of each pair is carried by a separate arm 6, and (2) the arms 6 of the second and third pairs of rollers are carried by a single pivot 7. The endless track shown is of the kind described in Specification 391,487.
