Abstract
572,698. Endless-track vehicles. ROADLESS TRACTION, Ltd., and JOHNSON, P. H. May 7, 1940, No. 8214. [Class 79 (i)] An endless-track unit for vehicles comprises a central load-carrying roller 1 and end rollers 2, 3 flexibly connected by a pair of springs 5 and links 8, the springs being fixed at their centres to shackles 6 on the central roller shaft and connected at their ends to levers 7 pivoted on the end roller shafts and also pivoted to the ends of the links 8. The endless track 4 may be of the "locked girder " type described in Specifications 248,839, 306,431, [both in Class 79 (i)], and. 569,336. Specification 216,613, [Class 79 (i)], also is referred to.
