Abstract

388,715. Firebars. GRUENBERG, S. and ROSENMANN, G., 26, Holborn Viaduct, London. Nov. 29, 1932, No. 33750. [Class 51 (i).] A firebar of the type comprising an upper thickened portion 2 and a lower rib or web 1 having air passages therein communicating with the exterior, is provided with an air passage 3, 3a extending the whole depth of the bar, another air passage 4, 5 extending the whole length of the rib, and with triangular openings 7 in the sides of the rib arranged opposite to each other with their apices pointing upwards and downwards alternately both on the same and opposite sides. One side of the rib is provided with curved vanes 9 arranged between the triangular openings. The thickened upper portion may be plain or corrugated.
