Abstract

296,834. Odling, M. June 17, 1927. Building blocks, special shapes of.-Walls are formed of blocks laid in pairs and having corresponding grooves in the contacting faces extending from end to end and vertically to form air passages a<2>, a', Fig, 3. The passages a<3> may be straight or bent, and the passages a<2> may be continued across the contacting faces. Cross bonding is obtained by using unequal blocks f, g, Fig. 8. The blocks may be formed with one or more air cavities a<4>, Fig. 5, with or without air inlet holes in the front or back faces. Corner blocks, Fig. 9, are similarly formed; and for thicker walls, intermediate blocks e, Fig. 7, are formed with cavities on each side.
